When Dana attended BCFE in 2017, she thought it was the best forensics training she had received. She was so impressed with the instructors and is still good friends with her supportive row coach, Bart Sims. Dana saw the support within the IACIS family continue beyond the training events. Each time she puts a question to the listserv, she receives multiple responses from people she has never met who genuinely wanted to help. She feels there is no better way to thank the organization that had helped her out so often than to give back through volunteering. Dana has contributed to IACIS in multiple ways, including serving as a peer review coach and as an instructor at BCFE.
Dana is a Forensic Analyst at a private consulting company. On her days off, you can usually find her playing field hockey, volleyball, hiking, or planning her next trip. She will take any opportunity to use her passport and does not mind red-eye flights. If not outdoors, she looks at what dogs are available for adoption, avoids anything made with cilantro, and wonders if she is the only person on the planet who has never seen a Star Wars movie.
