Volunteer since 2012 in the areas of Training, Development, E-Services, Certification and Marketing.
Eddie was always interested in computers. He installed his first DX386 computer at the age of 7. His first digital forensics training was in 2010 when he attended the BCFE course in Germany. At that moment, he was hooked. He was impressed by the quality of the course, the enthusiasm of the teachers, and the network of people working in the same field. He became a peer review coach as soon he finished his CFCE in 2011.
After attending the Internet Forensic Examiner (IFE) given by IACIS in Germany in 2011 and speaking with the instructors, Jim Dibble and Bart Ooms. Eddie knew he wanted to volunteer as an instructor. He saw it as a great opportunity to share knowledge and experience with others and to promote certification as a standard for digital forensic examiners. In 2012, 3½ weeks after the birth of his son, he taught his first IFE course in Germany.
Aside from his career as the Expert OSINT/Internet Investigations for the Dutch Tax Office’s Fiscal Information and Investigation Service, he volunteers his time to IACIS as the EU Regional Manager for the CFCE Peer Review Phase, the IACIS public website administrator, the E-Services liaison for Marketing, and as an annual BCFE instructor.
In his free time, Eddie enjoys life with his two children, espresso, speed cycling, and photography. He is a creator, building furniture, tinkering with gadgets, and making good use of his 3D printer. He devotes time to help others as a professional life coach and personal fitness and nutrition trainer as well. Eddie was bullied during his childhood, and he learned to combat that by focusing on his strengths. He hopes to make a positive impact as a coach for others, in both the personal and professional realms.
