Volunteer since 2005 in the areas of Training, Certification, and International Relations.
The 2003 BCFE class in Florida was Thomas’ first training course outside of Germany. When he saw how efficiently the program was run by volunteers who wanted to help 200 international students, Thomas knew he wanted to be a part of IACIS. Thomas finds it rewarding to have a role in a student’s journey toward certifying in digital forensics. As a police officer, he also feels that helping others will contribute towards making our world safer. He also looks forward to volunteering at training events to spend time with the other volunteers from around the world.
Thomas is a police officer for the Federal Police of Germany and has had multiple roles within IACIS, including serving as the CFCE Peer Review Chairman. In his free time, he finds happiness in warm weather and the outdoors, working in his garden and appreciating the results afterwards. He also spends time on his motorcycle and breaks a sweat outside with a good run.
